King James´s Year 7 sttended the annual Christingle service at St John´s Church on the 10th December 2015. The community event runs each year for Year 7 students and is a fantastic opportunity for students and staff to embrace the festive spirit that Christmas brings. This year´s service was extra special for the students as the church was full of beautifully decorated Christmas trees which had been made by the local community, and some of our students and staff. The students took part in the service with real enthusiasm, embraced the hymns, confidentally read passages from the Bible and listened eagerly to the Vicar´s stories and messages. The highligh of the service was, as always, when the students had assembled their Christingle oranges and candles were lit. Yes, 254 students with lighted candles in a dimly lit church! The sight was magical.
