Ex-pupils return for prizegiving

We were delighted to welcome back many of last year’s Sixth Form leavers for our annual A Level Prizegiving.

With many back from university for the Christmas holidays, there was a festive, informal feel to the event as old friends, parents and teachers enjoyed the opportunity to meet up. As well as presenting certificates, the Headteacher awarded a number of service and subject prizes, including some to current Year 13 students in recognition of their performance in AS exams. Mr Sugden went on to share memories of his own educational experiences with the audience, emphasising the importance of determination, hard work and commitment.

Musical entertainment was provided by Year 13 students Emily Binks, Louise Henry and Nat Martin and Will Hancock from Year 11 - from haunting vocal duets to an entertaining trombone solo.

The whole evening was a resounding success and a great way to celebrate the class of 2008´s journey through King James´s.
