The Sixth Form Open Evening attracted a good turnout from Year 11 students and their parents, keen to find out more about their options for September.
Director of Sixth Form, Clair Foden, gave two talks during the evening on options and opportunities and what King James’s has to offer Year 11s looking to move into Year 12.
The rest of the Sixth Form team, including Learning Managers, pastoral and support staff were also on hand to offer advice and guidance to visitors, who included students considering joining KJS from other schools.
Every department was well represented by staff who discussed in detail what their courses have to offer, supported by current Sixth Formers taking their subjects and able to offer a student perspective on subjects.
Careers advice was also available to help students with their choices and representatives from several universities were here to provide information on post-A Level options. And the Sixth Form café was open to visitors all evening, offering a taste of what students can look forward to!
