Response to parents´ evening survey

Many thanks to the 285 parents who responded to our survey before Christmas about changing the time of parents´ evenings and making appointments available from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with 80% of parents saying that it would not be a problem to change the time (see the chart below). Where parents did not support the idea, it was mostly because of concerns that work commitments would make it hard to get to school early and for both parents to attend. However, in many cases these parents added that if they could book later slots it should not be a problem.

In view of the feedback received, the school has decided to trial earlier parents´ evening times and appointments will be available from 4.30pm to 7.30pm for forthcoming parents´ evenings. If parents are unable to obtain appointments, we will make sure that other forms of feedback are available, such as emailing or telephone calls with staff.
