Year 11 Student Makes County Debut

Matt Livesey made his Yorkshire U15s Basketball debut in Sheffield on 14th and 15th September, competing against twelve other English national regions. He scored six points and played in the semi-final and play off semi-final. Yorkshire eventually came fourth out of the twelve regions.

Matt initially played for York Eagles in the National League U15s but now plays with Leeds Force U16s Elite in the National League Premier North. The Leeds Force Mens team play at Leeds Beckett University and are at the highest British Basketball level in the country. Matt earned his place in the Yorkshire U15s team after a selection process which saw one hundred and fifty players cut down to just twelve.

Matt is the first male student from King James’s School to represent Yorkshire in Basketball.
