Supply Kitchen Assistant

An exciting opportunity to gain experience as a Catering Assistant / Kitchen Porter. Ad hoc supply work available to support our award winning catering service

Supply/Relief contract

£7.78 - £7.83 per hour

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated Catering Assistant and/or Kitchen Porter to support the Head Chef in delivering an excellent school catering service, operating to the highest standards of food safety along with customer service.You will work on an ad hoc Supply/Relief basis to cover absence.

As a Catering Assistant you will be able to undertake cooking of bulk products, receipt of deliveries and stock rotation, basic general kitchen tasks and have basic knowledge and appreciation with regard to the importance of healthy eating. You will be willing to undertake necessary training. e.g. Food Hygiene.

As Kitchen Porter you will ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible, collect and wash pots and pans, unload food and equipment deliveries, keep stock organised as well as cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas, walls and floors. You will be willing to assist with simple food preparation as required.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for this physically demanding role. You will have the ability to work within relevant regulations, policies and procedures. e.g. food hygiene rules.
