Sportathon Success

A 12-hour sportathon run by the Sports Council on 23rd January 2015 was a huge success and raised over £2000 for Help for Heroes!

Whether it was using the exercise bikes, running around the PE block, playing basketball or netball, the 25 members of the Sports Council made sure someone was doing sport at all times. Highlights included an intense kingball game and a strenuous cross fit lunch session led by Ryan Tansley from Harrogate Cross Fit. Once the school day had finished the group of 25 turned into a group of 60, with the Sports Council bringing their friends to help them out for the last five and a half hours. The day finished on a high with a massive game of dodgeball involving all 60 students and all the teachers who stayed until the end.

All of the students should be proud of themselves for raising so much money and we´re delighted that their hard work has paid off. Thank you to everyone who helped out with the event.
