School Fund
Each year, King James´s School parents are asked to make a contribution to the School Fund.
The School Fund is a registered charity and all the money raised is used to improve the education and experiences on offer to students at King James´s School. For example, School Fund money is used to provide:
- resources to support students´ learning not provided by our education grant
- equipment for extra-curricular activities
- achievement rewards and events
- financial assistance supported by applications to local trusts.
With schools working to an increasingly tight budget, the School Fund really does make a difference to the educational experience King James´s is able to provide for your child. For example, without School Fund money many of the 100 different extra-curricular activities on offer to students last year would be unable to run.
You will be invited to make a donation each September (the current suggested amount is £10 per pupil) – please do take the time to do this. You will also have the opportunity to GiftAid your donation if you are a taxpayer, allowing the school to claim the tax you have paid at no extra cost.
It is quick and easy to make the payment through ParentPay and your child will benefit directly from the money.
