Educational Visits

During their time at King James’s, students have the opportunity to go on a wide range of trips and visits. Some of these are linked to the curriculum; others are simply opportunities to enjoy themselves and spend time with their peers in different settings. All form an important element of the enriched educational experience on offer at King James’s.

Over the course of the school year, students go on a variety of day trips related to the curriculum, including geography fieldwork, visits to museums and galleries, theatre trips, sporting events and visits to local businesses. There are also social opportunities on offer, such as Christmas shopping at Meadowhall and a day at Alton Towers.

Residential trips that took place in the academic year 2018/19 include:

  • Bebra, Germany Languages Exchange
  • WWI Battlefields
  • Cologne Christmas Markets in Germany
  • Krakow in Poland
  • Ski trips to Austria (Years 9 & 11)
  • Bewerley Park
  • Ardeche and Aosta watersports holiday
  • New York Art trip
  • Real Madrid Football trip
  • Drama London Residential
  • Berlin History trip
  • Bude outdoor adventurous holiday

See below for documents for details of proposed residential trips (including approximate costs) & the guidelines we expect all students taking part in a school trip to adhere to.
