Since King James´s School was founded back in 1616, thousands of Knaresborough´s young people have passed through its doors. During our 400th anniversary in 2016 we set out to make contact with as many of these ex-pupils as possible to share memories and help us celebrate this landmark in the school´s long history.

To help us do this, we set up an Alumni Association with its own website where former pupils, staff and governors could find out news about alumni events, look at historical information about the school and share memories.  To date we have over 600 members.

We had a number of special events throughout the year including concerts, exhibitions, a special enrichment week for students and a Gala Dinner which was attended by almost 200 members of the Alumni assocation.

Although our special 400th Anniversary year has now come to a close, we are still keen to continue making contact with ex-pupils and staff and to encourage them to become members of the Alumni Association. 

Over time, we will continue to add more information to the site, including articles from the school´s archives and more photo albums and memories.
